This season the ECNL will feature the college corner, a section highlighting standout ECNL alums who were named Players of the Week from their respective NCAA Division 1 conferences around the country. This week features four players who were outstanding on the field for their college teams.
Girls
SEC Defensive Player of the Week
Lawson Renie – Tennessee
ECNL Club – Ohio Elite Soccer Academy
Renie anchored the Tennessee defense for the full 90 minutes in Tennessee’s 1-0 win at No. #13 Ole Miss on Friday, shutting out the previously undefeated Rebels and limiting them to just nine shots and three shots on goal. Renie also got involved in the attack, getting in the box on a corner kick and placing a header on frame. During her time in the ECNL, Renie played for Ohio Elite Soccer Academy.

America East Offensive Player of the Week
Maya Anand – Binghamton
ECNL Club – Loudoun Soccer
Anand was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week for a second consecutive week, after tallying three goals and two assists in Binghamton’s wins over NJIT and Vermont. Anand set up the lone goal in a 1-0 win over NJIT on Thursday and had a hat trick and an assist in a win over Vermont on Sunday. The senior currently leads the America East Conference with 21 points and nine goals. While in the ECNL, Anand played for Loudoun Soccer.

Boys
A-10 Rookie of the Week
Denis Krioutchenkov – Davidson
ECNL Club – FC Wisconsin
Krioutchenkov closed out the week with a trio of goals, initially knocking home a pair in Davidson’s 3-1 win over Virginia Tech before dropping in one more in Saturday’s loss to Saint Joseph’s. In addition to netting a goal as time expired against the Hokies, the Milwaukee, Wisc., native broke a level match with a goal in the 33rd minute. Against the Hawks, Davidson’s lone score came just prior to intermission when the freshman converted from the penalty spot for the second time this season. During his time in the ECNL, Krioutchenkov played for FC Wisconsin, where he was named to the 2021-22 U18/19 Midwest All-Conference Team.

CAA Co-Rookie of the Week
Eryk Dymora – Monmouth
ECNL Club – PDA
Dymora provided two shutouts in a 2-0-0 week for Monmouth that included the Hawks’ first CAA victory. The New Jersey native stopped four Saint Joseph’s shots on Tuesday before turning aside both Stony Brook attempts on Friday. While in the ECNL, Dymora played for PDA and was named to the 2020-21 ECNL Boys U18/19 All-America Team.
The strong season for the redshirt freshman continues.
